Dispute Resolution

While the SRB encourages parties to resolve matters without resort to the Board; in the event such resolution is not possible, anyone wishing to solve to a matter in dispute may make application to the Surface Rights Board.

Anyone seeking resolution of a matter in dispute regarding terms or conditions of access to lands or waters in the NWT, excepting waters in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region, or the compensation to be paid in respect of that access, may make an application to the SRB explaining the nature of the dispute and identifying the parties involved. Additional information may be required prior to the SRB commencing its dispute resolution process.
