Northwest Territories Surface Rights Board (NWT SRB) Process Flowcharts

The Northwest Territories Surface Rights Board (NWT SRB) jurisdiction and procedures are set out in both the Northwest Territories Surface Rights Board Act (S.N.W.T. 2014, c.17) and in the NWT SRB Rules of Procedure.

The NWT SRB has developed a series of process flowcharts which visually set out the SRB’s areas of jurisdiction and the procedural pathways involved. While the flowcharts are intended to assist in understanding the NWT SRB’s jurisdiction and procedures, the reader is advised that the flowcharts are not a legal document, have no legal status, and should not be relied upon for legal purposes.

In the event of any discrepancy between the Northwest Territories Surface Rights Board Act, the NWT SRB Rules of Procedure, and the process flowcharts, the Legislation and the Rules should be relied upon.
